yes we have a website pathelenflowers.com, they also offer a website for 39.95 month
pathelenflower, we used to be placing ads with them, because their directories rank very well. With that said, I suggest that you keep keen eye on the number of traffic coming from the directories. Make sure the number is large enough to justify your monthly fees.
In our case, the number wasn't sufficient, so I decided not to renew.
The rational simply goes like this....
Say, you are spending $10 a month ($120 a year) for the listing. Now, suppose you are getting only 10 visitors a month from the directory.
That is, you are paying $1 per visitor. This metric, i.e., how much you are paying per visitor, is very important to know.
Now, another important thing to know is the conversion rate: the percentage of the visitors who actually buys something at your web site.
The conversion rate depends on many factors; for example, it depends on how well your web site is made and where the traffic comes from. But if you don't know anything about it, I think you can use 5%; the real number can be higher or lower, but this gives a starting point IMO.
5% conversion means that 1 in 20 visitors from the directory ends up buying something from you.
Now, if you are paying $1 per visitor, you would have to pay, on average, $20 to capture ONE customer who buys something from you. It's a very expensive marketing, if this is the case.
So in summary, in order for your directory listing to make sense, you do want to have a reasonably high conversion rate (5% or higher) and a fairly large number of click through per month (20 or so). Then the listing would make sense to you.
