"Locks-of-Love"

This past week on of my daughters donated her hair to the Locks of Love program.

I thought I would post a before and a couple after pics of her. Jennifer is 10 years old.

Oh as a side note, the pictures were taken at my old branch flower shop. We now rent the building to three beauticians.

I haven't used that building in over 6 years. After we moved to the new store, it set idle for a couple years. It was great. I kept the utilities turned on so we used that building as a design room for V-day and M-dayu. I even had the refrigerator in there.

The hair stylists chose those colors.

Glad this caught on so well...

and even has been picked up by national media too. Last week it was the Today Show's Ann Curry cutting her hair and her daughter also. Two weeks ago it was an entire high school class that participated.
I donated 16" of my hair to Locks of Love about 4 years ago. Took me just a little over 2 years to grow it. It felt very good to package it and put it in the mail. Congratulations to her! May her thoughtfulness bring about good things passed around. As said...Pay it forward.
