The talking flowers are annoying but I like that they are going after the drop shippers.

Think about it this way

Rhonda

If all Indian Sqaws were like you, they would all want your Chief.

No criticism towards you, Rhonda

But we should all look at our business through the eyes of the consumer, not our eyes.

If a florist can force feed his/her tastes in flowers and style to all their customers, more power to them, but I do not think that is a business model most of us can follow.

It better be all about the customer, not about ourselves.

I hadn't seen the "Teleflora Difference" video before, but the other two were discussed at length earlier this year.

Tom, I don't follow your comment to Rhonda and don't see how she or any other florist is trying to 'force feed' consumers.

Shoppers see pictures of flower arrangements on PF (and 1-800 and FTD) and many still do not realize the recipient has to arrange them.

I am not against Teleflora I give them a lot of credit for still supporting education. (It is our job to get customers to call our 800 # by marketing as well).I actually was asked recently to join the teleflora NH /VT unit and I did has been a great experience so far as I have gotten the opportunity to talk with other local florists and work with some great designers.
What is the old saying keep your friends close but your enemies closer:rolleyes:

I have laughed at these videos, i actually think they are very good for putting customers OFF the boxed delivery. I always think that if an advertisment irritates you or makes to laugh, or cry, than it has done its job, beause it will stick in your mind.....the whole point of advertising?

Those commercials are simply rude...IMO of course...

And do NOT forget... their SOLE purpose is to drive traffic to Teleflora.com! No mention of a local florist anywhere...
