For years, we've used fabric covered florists' wire, which our last source, Lion Ribbon, has now discontinued. Does anyone have a source for this?

We like it because its especially flexible for smaller bows, etc. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Are you talking about Milinary Wire? It is a flocked wire.

This stuff used to be used to make pre-made corsage frames. Three wires in one direction a couple in the opposite, and stick the flower (carnation) head on the end of the wire.

Just consulted with my dad, while we were sitting in my office and he says "you couldn't pull those heads of that wire."

Hmmm, flocked wire then, glue today.

I know what you are talking about but I only know of retailers that sell it. Both Wal-Mart and Hobby Lobby carry it. It does work great for smaller bows.
