Well, I have been searching and searching for a silver pedestal bowl for a September wedding. Anyone have a good source for a (silver look- not actual silver ha,ha- pedestal bowl?) I have called all my regular wholesalers and about 15 companies out of the gift show catalogue. Seems what I'm looking for doesn't exist. Can this be??

I've been told to use a silver punch bowl, which I can get, but is WAY too big for a centerpiece filled with roses!

Thanks! :)

Oh you can get them from CFM, also they are called silver revere bowls, tat will get the point across, also if you can't find them let me know, I will be happy to send some to you,,We use alot of these things...

...and there's always good old silver spray paint.

Queen of Weddings- I hate to ask... what is CFM? Are the revere bowls plastic or metal?
I did try spray painting a glass bowl, just didn't look the same. I also tried attaching a silver bowl (from a kitchen supply store) to a silver sundae dish, looks great but the finish is off, doesn't look " high end." This bride is spending $3,000 on flowers alone, she only has 11 guest tables so we're looking for a real high end look silver bowl.

Contact Waterdale in Brampton. They have a larger silver revere bowl that is very plain but I can fit $100.00 centerpiece into this one. It is plastic with a very nice shiny silver finish. Good wholesale price too.

Our silver bowls

We have a few dozen silver footed bowls that we use as rentals, got them from Home Decoration http://www.hdaltd.com/ We use an 8 or 9 inch utility dish or bowl to actually design in that guests can take home. We've done arrangements that were easily $100 each in them. A couple of pictures of arrangements in the bowls: http://www.bloomeryweddings.com/blog/FeaturedFlowersBlueHydrangeaEscimoRosesKermitPompsPinkAndGreeenRoses.aspx

I've checked out Home Decoration and registered to see the online catalogue. They look great! They also look great in the photos you sent. Just what I'm looking for! Before I order, would you say they have a nice looking finish in person. I see them there with the Julep cups on your site- similar in finish? Just want to make sure before I order...

They are quite nice - shiny silver, good quality. We've had ours for probably 5 to 7 years now, and still haven't had to really polish any. We keep one out to show brides and event planners, and they all love it when they pass it around, etc.. The fact that they are metal really helps a lot - the weight is good, and comes across as a true silver bowl. We wouldn't be able to do that with plastic type bowls.

Hi again. I've got my order ready at Home Decoration, and they ship to Canada yeah! Thanks for the tip. I've got a quick question. I had planned on ordering an 8" at the start of my seach. But I really love the size of the centerpiece in the photos you attached... Are you using an 8" or 10" bowl? I'm assuming 10" since you said you use an 8-9" utility bowl inside. Just want to be sure I don't go too big or small since the shipping is going to cost me! Gotta get it right the first time!

We must have the 8 inch size

The 10 inch looks like it is a lot larger than what we have. I don't have one nearby to measure, but when I look at a 10 inch circle I know it is bigger than our bowls are.
