that baby moose was born in downtown Naubinway, Michigan. A friend of my sister (a UPER) sent the pics to her. Seeing moose in the UP is not a common site. They are pretty reclusive, so this was quite the talk of the town. Actually our HS principal is from the UP and his Grandma sent him the pics too.

In my 33 years in Michigans Upper Peninsula , I have never seen a new born baby moose. This one was not even a half a mile from our house. The mother picked a small quiet neighbor and had her baby in the front yard just off of US 2,at 5:30 am. Allen and I were out bike riding when we came upon the pair. The lady across the street from this house told us she saw it being born. We saw them at 5:30 PM. So the little one was 12 hours old. What an awesome place we live in to see such a site.

I'm a Moose with a cowlick, on my head, I found it this morning when I rolled out of bed. I looked in the mirror and what did I see...A big cowlick looking back at me.. I'm a Moose with a cowlick, That's what I am, but there is one thing that I don't understand, a Cow is slow and a Moose is quick, so how did I get this silly cowlick.
( I also like the one "Moose don't moo the way milk cows do"
