Has anyone tried Lumi-Loon? It's a flickering bulb that sits inside a balloon. I saw it on a website after looking for ideas for a casino themed party. They look very cool. Perfect for the party I have to do. The site I saw them on was windycitynovelties.com

no but before they came out with those lumi loons, we used to just put alcolytes in balloons. worked great if you wanted a lit up balloon;)

Shannonlovesflowers,

I've used the Acolytes in the past, but I think these are a less expensive alternative and are designed for balloons, but why fix something that isn't broke I guess. I am wondering how well they will perform however...so I am guessing you haven't used those Lumi-Looms...lol!

I bought lumi -loons from Windy City Novelties. They don't light up as well as they show on their website. I got them for a party we threw for a friend of mine. Thought they would be cool but I was dissapointed, I don't even think anyone noticed them. Once you blow them up the little light is less noticable. I'll try to attach a photo, I've never attached a photo before, but I'll give it a shot. The photo shows the white balloons with red lights inside, on the upper left side of the photo. But (hopefully) as you can see, they don't show up. I won't buy them again.

They would likely have more impact if they were grouped and in tiers.

I put all 10 together and they still weren't that noticable. I was very dissapointed. They looked soooooooo cool on the website too.
The light just isn't bright enough.
