Very, very pretty. Here's one of ours:

Robin, they're basically an Indian version of a chuppah, with the structure representing a house. The base of the one in the photo above was from a rental house and we added the flowers, including the 800 orange rose pave' bordering the upper rim.

Wow! That is nice!

Whew, Cathy! NICE!
I've done them; as you can see they can look different from wedding to wedding.

WOW....impressive I must say. I have done several Indian weddings here, as we have a Temple here in Nashville. They have a permanent structure in the Temple...mahogany, ornately carved. Each wedding was different. One wanted strings of carnations, one wanted garland loaded with flowers, one garland with no flowers...but all wanted very brightly colored flowers..and lots of them.

Hi, I've done several Mandaps and Mehndis, what do you need to know?

Hey
The base and structure are pipe and base systems for draping you can by from Rosebrand. I use 8 foot sections for Chuppahs. The Mandap needs to be wide for the immediate family. Rosebrand gas extention polls that will stretch out to 16 feet. This one is 12. I recommend 50 pound bases for outdoor Mandaps and 25 for indoor.

Decorating is done in studio. You just have to set up the frame and begin designing your fabrics. Make sure on each panel you sew a loop that easily slides on the poles. The ceiling is cut to measurement and grometed on all four corners and four centers. Nylon zip to taught.

The top piece is a 2x4x12 pine and I made a pillow of gold lamie fabric. I fastened the pillow using nylon zips. The rest is up to imagination.

The entire Mandap can be disassembled easily and reassembled on site

If you need any more assistance on the interior set up, rituals, or Mehndi. Give me a call.

Good luck, Thom
