Marigolds in a hand-tied bouquet?

My bride for this weekend told me that her favorite flower is a marigold. I got some great marigolds for her centerpieces, and I'm wondering if they would hold up in a hand-tied bouquet... my wholesaler said she didn't recommend it, as they need lots of water. Has anyone had any experience with using marigolds in a hand-tied bouquet? I'd love your advice.

Well if they are her favorite.......but phew they smell bad!
i don't see why you couldn't do it if you had a water source. The rubber trick should fit the bill for this one!

My DIY bride used them and they held up just fine....I think it's the educational aspect of telling them, if you're not having photos taken or not walking down the aisle...they belong in a vase of water!
