Just saw Miss Martha's new line at Walmart for DIY'ers. Check out her tissue paper flower kit :
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10097916.

"Create lifelike tissue paper flowers using this kit. Use as centerpieces, bridal bouquets, favor box toppers or fancy napkin rings.

Bridal bouquets...What the heck?

I was shocked when I saw her on the commercial! I guess we all have our price?!?!?

As for the tissue flowers...If you want your bridal bouquet to look like a Homecoming float, are you really the type of person who is also considering a real florist...I'm saying no.

I would love to see how the finished product would turn out?!?!?! Just picture the VFW all bedazzled with crepe paper flowers and co-ordinating streamers. Tables draped in paper tablecloths (in keeping with the theme)...and tissue flowers floating in the melting ice/waterin the keg bucket. Ahh, how lovely! Picture someone lighting a cigarette...

Her line does include some pretty placecards, save the date cards and even invitations.

I should have bought stock in her company back when she was on trial and the price was low, Martha is very good at re-inventing herself and going to where the money is.

I just love the look of coloured tissue in the rain. :hammer:

By the way, Beth... love the dancing Cheney, although the image of him in a bikini is forever etched in my mind. ACK!!!

I know what it's supposed to look like, but if you have ever tried to make one of the recipes from her magazine, they NEVER turn out like they are supposed to! I am picturing a very colorful poof of stiff toilet paper...done by what appears to be a 2 year old.

I can't decide if I love your dancin' Dick or if he creeps me out...we'll see if I have nightmares about him tonight (more than usual).

And that's a "good thing"

I have a different look at all of this......

OK, imagine this wedding with paper flowers, I'll wait......................................

WOW.

They will never be able to do it properly It will never look right. And even if they do.......are you kidding me????
I can't imagine this catching on, and I think any bride will regret her decision to have tp flowers.

But if all that bride can afford is toilet paper for her wedding.. Leave it to Martha to make money on it. I'm not mad at her...
Wish I thought of it!

HA!!!

You know, there was a contest on t.v... can't remember much as I didn't watch it, but it was based on making dresses from toilet tissue... hmmmm.... maybe there IS a trend buiding here.

(Shannon thanks for a great start to the morning)
