Am about to go into work and start a wedding for tomorrow. And as usual, my supplier has shipped me bells of ireland that are so so long, even though I requested short.

My question is - I typically need only the top half of the bells for centerpieces so does anyone have a great solution for what to do with the bottom half that still has great flowers attached? There seems to be no pretty way to disguise the cut mark...

When you cut the stem move the flower or "bell" a bit and cut as close as possible to the flower. The "bell" should bounce back and cover your cut stem.

Insert into foam and angle just a little back you should be able to hide the cut this way.

Our bells are very tall and very full lately also, beautiful!!

I do much the same - THey make great coverage for foam.

I push corsage pin heads into the cuts if they're going to be visible (you can put a bit of basil spray on pearl headed pins to disguise the pin head or leave them white for a "pearl" look.

I love to use bells cut down in low cube or cylinder arrangements. If you cut them right where the bell meets the stem, you cannot see the cut at all as the bell covers it. Try it...I think you'll like it!
