Mayesh Design Contest

I know nothing about it. I haven't entered a contest in a really long time.

Is anyone else entering? There are only 237 entries so I love the odds of winning a trip to the LA Flower Market. That trip has been a dream of mine for a long time.

Shoot you want a free trip to the la market. I'm leaving in about 3 hours from now.

I entered and so did one of my designers. They are voting with in each location first so the first place from each location goes on to the finals which will be decided by a Mayesh panel. I buy mostly from the LA flower market but the competition there was very very tough so we are competing out of Orange County. I showed my designer CHR's entry in the Flower Chat design battle on YouTube and said this might just be our competition in Orange County and she went white. While I don't think I will win I still think it will be a fun experiece. Good luck Thea and Mocha!

I would be interested in entering where can I find the information?

It's too late to enter (submissions are due tomorrow morning) but here is the info. http://www.mayesh.com/termsandconditions.aspx

I got the Orchid affair too. The roses were of pretty poor quality and I got burgundy cyms instead of the listed green. They didn't match the colors no how matter how much I tried so I had to go without them. Curious if anyone else had issues? I'm in the "shipping division" so that might explain why. Usually Mayesh products are amazing and it was strange to get bad roses for a contest. Overall I'm happy with my design and very interested in how the contest turns out. I went pretty edgy and wondering how that will go over.

I have no idea how the "shipping division" winner will be determined. Interested in seeing how that works since we don't have the local voting like the 15 other divisions.

I dropped by the OC Mayesh yesterday to view the competition pieces. :) A few photos were uploaded to my FB page here. (Would have shot more but the backgrounds were chatoic and made good photos impossible. The crew there DID shoot everything on plain backgrounds so look for more pictures on the Maysh site soon.)

There were 21 entered and several were outstanding. I told Jill Dahlson it was too bad more than one 'winner' couldn't be named from OC since I'm sure other locations were less likely to produce winners that could beat the second, third or fourth place designers (whomever they may be) from the OC store.

I had the delight of running into Allie, her husband and cute son, too. :)

No one from our shop entered so it was nice to just go view and absorb the beauty.

The OC Mayesh did a great job of hosting the event. Looking forward to seeing the winning designs from the other 16 divisions.

Your design is definitely edgy and unique. Good job. :)

April - do you have a link to the competition pages? Can't spot one on Mayesh.com.

Added: Found it - http://www.mayesh.com/voting.aspx

The Dress idea is pretty cool (#3) but I love #8. The entry from OC was so much more stunning in person.

Did you notice how the backgrounds really, really affect the overall impressions of the designs?

I can see Cathy beat me to the voting link... yep #8 is my fave with #2 second :)

My favorite was 15 with a close second being number 13..
