I have a bride I am sitting down with this weekend. Her colors are claret (deep red), black and silver. I am thinking in my own head now if I can spray a clear vase with silver to make it look like a mercury vase. Do you think it would work and if so how hard would it be to take it off after the even. I know what a PITA. She might not even go for this, however I thought it would look pretty cool. What are your thoughts?

I have seen people spray silver paint on top of water in a bucket then dip a vase into the water. the silver paint forms a film on the vase somewhat like mercury glass. I do not know about removing the paint later...sorry

The plus side is if they looked good you could sell them at holiday time. TF had some mercury glass last year, I bet it would sell for you.
It is a PITA to do that........It makes a beautiful look though. An alternative is to mist your vase with soapy water, then spray on the silver, and wipe off with a towel. It take practice to get a nice look. The upside is that NO TWO VASES will look alike. SO you can sell that exclusivity factor
