I got a pre-release copy of Death Magnetic today from the producer in Detroit... not bad....for those of you still into heavy metal...

I'll autograph it ;)...any bids?

I just got notice of the presales for tickets - haven't seen them since Hetfield did rehab - wonder if they still kill?

YES the album is AWESOME!!! The Hubby and I can't wait for the official release!! WOO HOO!!!

I saw Metallica on the "Mother Load" tour.

Totally didn't want to go. But hubby dragged me there.

It was BY FAR the best concert I ever saw, ever, and I seen a few concerts.
well, when I didn't live in the middle of no where. poor me

I even spilled a beer all over these 2 guys, and myself, on accident. They didn't even kick my a$$, so that was good. I was a lot cuter back then.

Shannon...I'm surprised they didn't request a "Show your T!t$!" as a sort of apology.

Gosh all of their concerts I've been to that's what I hear!! It's scary, annoying and complimentary all at once... lol

since I'm a bit of a shorty my hubby wanted to put me up on his shoulders one time(since it was standing only) and I was like HELL NO!! They'd be chanting non stop!

Would that producer be Rick Rubin?

Oh back in the day....Metallica and a mosh pit or two....

If I was only 17 again....a lady I am not....

Rough and tumble tom boy in more like it...

I love me a mosh pit, the excitement, the risk...

bloomz....tsk tsk you nawty guy!

Lori...keep me away from the mosh...I'd get soooo stomped...not to say I'm not a tough gal just short! HA!-now I'm remembering the time I gave a guy a bloody lip because he wouldn't let go of my arm... quite the story that one is!!

I am such a wuss. Got caught up in some moshing at a Devo concert way back when, and decided to get the heck out of there. We went to the lobby and listened to the concert from there for a few min. A poor little 12 year old boy came out into the lobby, bloody face. Poor kid. Helped him get first aid. Then found a place to rejoin the concert IN THE BACK!

Beth I just can't imagine moshing at a Devo concert... :)

Oh gosh I remember those mosh days....ever heard of GWAR? Frightening sums it up!

I know.. doesn't quite fit, does it? Surprised me!

No, haven't heard of GWAR (I'm old) .. but my kids have. Just looked them up... looks like they're really big on the costumes. Remind me a little of Slipknot, visually.

Slipknot is influenced by GWAR....GWAR has been around for almost 20 years...and TALK about being offended!!! If one is very politically correct...GWAR is NOT something you want to expose yourself to...no pun intended!

Bloomz, the only people allowed to see my bodacious tatas is #1 hubby, #2 doctors, and they better have a good reason, and #3 occasionally my mom or sister if we are sharing the bathroom for one reason or another.

And that's it!

I haven't moshed since I was a youngster. I might just be getting old but I'm sure it never looked so dangerous back in the day, all the guys seem much bigger, angrier and violent now. I'll admit it - it's scary!

Was a huge rush to crowd surf back then. Too many people have hurt themselves though and the promoters try to cut that sort of thing out now.

No you're right on the mark Todd...I saw the turn about a year or so after I graduated high school....it did get more violent...

Once in a mosh pit at a Primus concert was enough for me - I was 46 years old - you should have seen my shocked wife clawing her way out of there.

But never let it be said I'm too old to rock and roll !!!
