Michael Landon news.... Does this make sense?

Ok, so I just read that Michael Landon's eldest son Mark died today at age 60.

So I thought wow, Michael Landon had a kid the same age as my Pop.. That's wild.

Then it says Michael Landon died in 1991 at the age of 54 from cancer.. bummer, I remember when that happened.

Now I'm no math genius...
But I could do a quick little bit of math and think to myself, that can't be right.

So I whip out the old cell phone and break out the calculator...

That would mean Michael Landon had his first kid at the age of 12.

Someone please tell me that wholesome Little Joe, Mr. Always do the right thing Charles Ingalls, and Johnathan the Angel was not a father at 12 years of age.

maybe my math is off... I hope.
 
Okay, I was curious about the math myself so I did some research. Mark was the son of Dodie Frazier who married Michael in 1956. Michael adopted Mark and his younger brother. Never knew that, but it makes sense. It didn't seem possible that Mr. Wholesome could have fathered a child at 12 and no one ever knew about it!

I'm still in love with Michael Landon!!! I love him the most as Charles Ingalls...hottie in Bonanza for sure though!
 
12 years old?

It could happen - IIRC I was trying my best back then....
 
Michael Landon was the crush of my life. None have surpassed him, or even matched him for that matter.

The worst punishment and therefore effective, was taking away my Sunday night Bonanza rights.

Little Joe was my first little girl crush, soon followed by Paul McCartney.

If he fathered a child at age 12, I wouldn't be surprised, he was smokin' hot!
 
apparently you've never been or met a 12 year old boy.....

they have a name for it -it's called puberty
