Welcome, Michellle!

Do you work for PepperJam, or in partnership with them as a TF employee?

Ryan

Thanks Ryan,
No, I don't work with PepperJam. I am a web producer so I make code changes on the site specific to SEO.
Michelle

Is PepperJam then no longer handling SEO for Teleflora?

(Sorry for the questions - I'm just curious :))

Ryan

Actually ask away Ryan. ;)

Michelle, I'm going to chime in here as well. There are several questions on the new member intro page that you missed.

Please tell us what you hope to contribute to our community should you become a member? And by the same token, what do you expect from the community?

Thanks for your time.

PepperJam has never been used for SEO at Teleflora, while I have had this job. I think they are a paid search company - I have never worked with them.

Ok. PJ handled SEO for TF after Teleflora and Bruce Clay Inc parted ways.

I take it TF is now doing their SEO in house? How long have you been in the SEO biz?

I have been on SEO for only 6 months - I am sure you realize that cannot answer direct questions about my role at the company as this is a privately held company and I would like to keep my job! However, I love working in the SEO field and I am open to answering general SEO questions not specific to Teleflora.

Understood - thanks for your quick replies :)

Did you see Victoria's question for you?

Not being able to answer direct questions because of where you work begs the question... why do you want to be here?

This is not intended to be rude (not my nature), but we've had many folks from the wire services apply and succeed at becoming members. They don't contribute anything really because they want to protect their jobs.

Again I do appreciate your time.

I cannot answer questions about Teleflora SEO strategies and vendors we use or don't use because SEO is a highly competitive area and I would be foolish to divulge our plans.
However, I have no problem in answering generic SEO questions, for instance, if a florist wanted my opinion on the latest buzz or how to best optimize a site, then I am OK with that.
As an SEO professional it makes sense to been involved in social media so I am here for that and to engage where my peers are.
Plus I have worked at Teleflora for a long time and have always wanted to join this forum but I didn't have anything to contribute before, but now I have lots of SEO knowledge and it is growing by the day I think I can add some value to your community.

And maybe you can take back what you learn here at FC about what real florists think to TF,,, and maybe they will listen.

There you go again Shannon...being so funny...

Sadly that's always the dream, but rarely the reality. The wire service employees don't speak as I mentioned above.

At anyrate Michelle, I do thank you for answering the questions and I hope you have thick skin because this isn't friendly turf for the wire services.
