Off Topic Miracle in New York

US Airways pilots dicthed their troubled plane into the Hundson River just 2.5 hours ago. No fatality reported.

It's a miracle. If you are piloting a jetliner over Manhattan with no engine running, there really isn't any place to land.

Just watched it on CNN...pretty amazing... looks like they sucked a bunch of birds into both engines...

I was feeling claustrophobic watching it. Glad everyone got out safely!

I'm listening to the radio right now. One passenger said, before "landing", the captain calmly told passengers "brace for the impact."

That's the last thing I want to hear while in an airplane, I can tell you that.

This passenger said he prayed and prayed. He also said he is an atheist. There is no atheists in the trenches nor in the plane during crash landing.

Me, too. I saw the Tower collapsing on that fateful day 8 years ago. It still bothers me. For us New Yorkers, this latest news overlaps with 9-11 in a strange way.
