Sahara, in the middle, and some yummy cabbage garden/ heirloom variety. ha! not sure on those, but someone will know. We used to purchase garden roses from a farm in california, La Loma Roses, i believe Mayesh bought out that farm and now sells many variety of garden roses.

Just got the wonderful color file of garden roses from Transflora.
I "think" these are the varities: Caramel antike, Lovely Antike, Mythos, possibly Aquarell. It looks to me like there are also some smaller Eskimo tucked in. The Mythos could also be a creamy Vendella.
I love cabbage roses!

Miranda got married in a park with a bouquet of fall leaves it was lovely.
Carrie got married (not married) in the library. I think they used what ever roses would surely break apart best when she bashed 'Big' in the head with them. I disliked her bouquet greatly, but the girls....loved those!! And how come no one ever gave me a jewel encrusted cupcake purse for being the flower girl when I was little?
And...Col. Mustard killed Miss Scarlett in the Library with the lead pipe. Sorry running amuk today.

I totally agree. Carrie's bouquet was totally not CARRIE. I really didn't like it at all. It was a haphazard concoction of roses...not my cup of tea. The design wasn't even that great but, I'm sure that's what they ordered.
The design was for there to be no "design" really. But I think that might be what the girls are liking about it. It is not a roundy moundy, not structured at all. The bride I have that wants it likes it because "it looks like someone just gathered the roses up and put a handkerchief around them." Maybe we are finally going to get away from the roundy moundies. Thanks for the names of some of the roses.

I don't want you to think I was picking on the florist who designed the bouquet at all because - that's not my style.
As an avid follower of Sex and the City and a florist I think I was just more disappointed with Carrie's bouquet than anything. I love her eclectic style and the bouquet just didn't match her at all.

Not at all - I wasn't offended - just glad to see something other than a roundy moundy. I was surprised by the choice too - I didn't think it went with the bird in her hair, but then I didn't think the bird or her shoes went with her dress at all. The bouquet fit the dress in my opinion, but not the bird or shoes. I love the roses in the bouquet, just KNOW that when I price those garden roses this bride will hit sticker shock.

I went to look up the florist and see if I could find a pic of her holding the bouquet....I found 3 different pictures of 3 different bouquets...
One looked like a huge gathered rose bouquet, one was another huge gathered bouquet of white, cream and peachy roses and gardenias and another was the picture that was shown earlier in the thread....I'm not getting it..

There might have been numerous bouquets used because of the heat from the lights for filming - those garden roses wouldn't last long under that heat.
By the way, since this bride wants ranunculus in her bouquet, I'm going to use 12 Avalanche, 12 Sahara and 20 white ranunculus in her bouquet and bind it with white ribbon overlaid with ivory lace to match her dress. I think she'll go for that with her budget. Whadda ya think?
