MNSFA Designer of the Year

I don't know what the judging criteria was but in all our design contests, no props allowed. There definitely were variations on the theme weren't there. I think picture #32 was my favorite, clean lines - others way too messy and all over the place (if 32 was even in the contest LOL ).... and a huge variety of flowers which made me think there wasn't a cost cut off? or are lady slipper orchids cheap there?

Actually, the rules are that a prop will not be judged if it is not touching the design, and will not be judged. The dollar amount was a cost of $60 or less TOTAL. (yeah, I know):-(
We were sent a list of costs for much of the fresh product as a qualifier but I have a feeling not everybody used that. I actually took pictures of the 6 finalists but I don't know if it's okay to post them or not.

I'm running our Fall Design Contest and the limit is $30 but the theme is "Inspiration Defined" and is limited to 6 roses (any color) and the rest is up to the designer. No filler like Alstro but common fillers allowed, gyp, solidago, wax, calcenia, monte etc. The idea is similar to "find a container, picture, scenario, design style, etc that "inspires" you and define it with the 6 roses.... With so much extra $$ after 6 wholesale cost of roses, think of the companion items to use.. wire, beading, roadsidia, - trying to see how "inventive and inspired" designers can be....... should be interesting ! (I know I thought of so many before "we" came to decide on the theme)
