Planning a trip to Montreal sometime in Octuber.
Can anyone recommend nice hotels to stay at as wells as things to see and do while there?

How about this....

Can we entice you to come more west to Gravenhurst to the Ontario Florist COnference October 22-23, You can stay at the resort and FTD is picking up one night accomodation. There yoou can visit a whole bunch of flower chat people. You may want to go to Montreal then come there...

I can't remember what hotel I stayed in, but it's always worthwhile to check out a Montreal Canadiens hockey game while in town. Montreal is a nice town, no doubt about it.

Is go and eat SMOKED MEAT SANDWICH. Schartz is a good one and I can remember the other one I know.
Smoked meat sandwich can only be eaten if the meat is STEAMED. It is usually served with a BIG PICKLE and WEDGE FRIES....

I stayed at the Place Ville Marie (long time ago)... it was wonderful. I really enjoyed the underground shopping etc. Yes, many happy memories from there.

The last time I was in Montreal was after a very long bus ride to participate in the referendum rally ( we wanted Quebec to remain a part of Canada and still do). It is a great city... with so much to see and do. Tons of history, which is something else I really enjoy.
