Okay, so I'm having some html issues at home - nothing serious... so I figured I'd post a few more teaser photos...

Sorry folks, mostly hall shots, the candids will be on the webpage.

WOW.... :)

Pictures are great , glad I didn't have to foot the bill for the flowers.

Audra's Event!!

Have never done a medival wedding so this is very interesting. Where did you get the gold fabric and what kind is it. On the hanging wreath. What were the mechanics of it. You should plan to come to Florida when they have the big fair. Feel free to plop here at the house. This is just to cool. Talk to me girlie!!
We are putting together a propossal for a true Indian wedding and it is complicated as the dickens.

I chose very little for the wedding, my bouquets (3 total), corsages and boutonnieres. The rest was solely in the hands of my mom. Apparently she felt that Dan and I were worth the expense.

Thank you! We were very much pleased with the look.

We do many of our hall wedding this way, in this case the actual bunting (The draped fabric) and the non-floral components of the hall were done by a friend of ours we do Wedding Consulting with. The fabric was actually more tangerine in colour than gold. It's just fabric from a fabric store called Fabricland... you probably could find it at Jo-Anns or the like. It was a sheer taffeta like fabric, the stuff often used with bridesmaid dresses.

If you really want more information about how we do what we did, email me and arrange a time in the live chat. It'd be easier to explain there. A good hall is easy to do if you pay attention to details. We did an east Indian wedding before (I'm assuming that's what you're referring to). They can be a lot of fun.

D'oh, forgot to mention the wreath.

The wreath was simply a large grapevine wreath that had silk flowers keeping in theme with the fresh flowers and ribbon added. It was all suspended from a hook clipped to the track of the ceiling tiles. My mom says it was easy to construct.

The fabric poofs above the headtable were suspended from fishing line and the top part was connected to a thin foamcore half circle to give in the dimension it had.

;) Such a guy...thank goodness we don't all think like that...I would love to have the opportunity to do all that for my daughter...alas, not to be.

We now have a drive through window at a Wedding Chapel in London...won't have to go to Vegas after all. :)

Audra's wedding....

was elegant, had beautiful settings, and the flowers were out of this world!!
Though, Luc and I thought that we might have to eat with our hands, and spill beer and wine all over the place, and sing warrior and pirate songs, and try to impress some maidens!!
What kind of world IS THIS anyways....couple of them "maidens" tried to DECK us!!
Mike:eek: ;)

The flowers are wonderful!!!!!!
It looks like a fairytale. I can't wait for the website.

Hopefully the webpage will be up later tonight. I'll add photos as more relatives get their film developed.

That's the one that was in one of the past FTD newsletters? I thought it was London, but my memory is slipping.

There is a shop in Regina with a drive through.

Back to unpacking boxes...I swear they are multiplying behind my back...I hate moving. I want a :beer. Think I'll go have a :beer, yupper, a :beer is definitely in order...will enjoy it as the planes fly overhead for the airshow.

Victoria,
Where did you move to?????
Luc

I've moved to a different apartment Luc. Alana will likely be teaching in Thailand or some such place in the near future (as soon as they decide that Canadians aren't diseased). I couldn't afford to keep the place we were in on my own...so I found the cutest place in an old house, owned by my very first bride and groom here in London. They live downstairs. I have access to the yard, the garden, the clothesline...there are no buses, firetruck, crotch rockets etc. in the vicinity...there is darkness when I turn out the lights and blessed silence. :) I was able to choose the colours I love. I'm a happy camper.
