Back home from Symposium - I'm a first timer, and it was overwhelming!

I posted some pictures on my facebook page, plus, video I took of Gregor Lersch doing a little impromptu piano gig - hope you can view them....

I met up with Lori & Rhonda, plus Leann Kessler (I'm trying to think of flowerchat people. Plus, I got to speak with many industry people I've admired - both designers and educators.

It was well worth it - I'm going to turn into an advocate for Symposium! My registration was $485!!! My "Education Only" early-bird registration was $585 (less a $100 coupon from Baystate, so actually $485). Dinner was with friends (I skipped the Gala Events to save money), and I didn't test.

I splurged on Gregor's workshop, and the "Sketch Pad" luncheon, plus a PFCI Workshop with Marie Ackerman. That, plus a couple books, plus food added another $600. I lucked out on travel costs (1 hour away) and lodging (fee frequent flier points from a friend)...

It's late and I'm still exhausted - but thank you to everyone for your support and concern regarding my health "issue" -

Val -

The link takes me to my own gallery. Do you have a link to your FB profile?

So glad you had a great time at symposium. :) So sorry to have missed this year's since the presenters were a hit parade of top pros and included some of my very favorite designers on earth. Would love to see you photos. :)

Just had a quick flick through them, they are gorgeous. Thanks for sharing. I really love the green wreath with the fruit and sunflowers.

Valerie - Great shots! Love the labels. Thanks!!!!

Adam - The designs really have to have water sources since they're made a day or more ahead of the stage presentation and then placed on public display after the show. Lots of folks look closely to see the construction techniques. :)

Adam, I think on my personal facebook page in my Symposium album are some shots of close ups where you can see the tiny tubes holding flowers in some of Gregor's pieces.
