I have been in the business over a year now.
Yes, I do have formal floral education. I went to Milwaukee Flower Design school.
I was referred to FlowerChat by another floral designer.
I hope to gain more knowledge in the floral world.
I feel I can contribute my design knowledge that I know.
I work from my residence and also I work in a greenhouse/floral shop part time.

Hi I am new on here.

Hello everyone,

I am really happy to have found this site. I started doing my own arrangements many years ago but never really thought I was good enough to make a career out of it until a few years back when my best friend said I should get into the business. With a little push from her I found a school and signed up. I love what I do and I love seeing the smiles on peoples faces when they recieve one of my designs. I work in a greenhouse/floral shop part time. And I also do some freelancing for friends and families. My greatest dream is to one day be able to work in a shop full time or just maybe opening my own small shop.

I am glad to be here and hope to get to know some of you.

For my business I work out of my home for family and friends. I have done many arrangements for them. Including silks. I am doing my first wedding for a friend of mine next week. It is small but I am very excited about this. I love what I do and have a passion to keep on learning. I also work for a local greenhouse/floral shop. I work there 3 days a week. I work in the greenhouse end of it one day a week and the other two days I work in the floral dept. I am the designer for our Sunday hours and the other day I help out a very experienced designer. I have done some sympathy pieces, and I take on the orders that come in for the day so that she can do the wedding end of it all.
I hope to get to know others on here that are just starting out in the business and experience designers on well.
