I got a call this week about Teleflora's Mothers Day choice for product.
After reviewing prices of the product and what is available, I decided to follow footsteps of follow chat members and ordered NOTHING from them. The vase are over price considering the sizes and I am TIRED od seeing teacups and teapots. HOW MANY OF THOSE CAN MOM HAVE!!!!!!!
THe monet vase I had last year and still have some.
When I go to the gift show in January I will be looking to purchase containers that I can do my own special in it.
I wil let the other smaller shop in Elliot Lake to handle those wire orders for special and I will handle all of those 100% orders.
I am tired and I know lots of florist are tired of the same old same old and HIGHER PRICES on CONTAINERS.
I Urge everyone to try this new tactics. It has worked for others Real florist.
Banding togethers will deliver another message to them.

THere will be more un-expected things happening in the spring also. I can't discuss to much here, since we have teleflora and FTD people reading here.

Good for you Luc! I agree. I too am sick of the same old same old stuff. Floral people are far more creative than the cookie cutter stuff "created" by the wire service people.

Right On! I did order almost all the Christmas products, but only 12 of each. I don't purchase them to fill incoming orders. Teleflora always mentions that I should order enough to fill incoming orders. HA! I purchase them for our own customers who want the Teleflora items. I find that incoming TF orders are always lower than our prices and almost never include a delivery fee. I am not about to send these items out on incoming orders and charge our own customers more! I will request a price change from the sending shop to match our prices or refuse the order. I am not ordering any of the Valentine, Easter, Secretary, Mother's Day, Father's Day items by TF. I always purchase our own unique containers and we create our own designs for almost every holiday. We are quick to point out to our customers that when they purchase the items from Teleflora that most of their $$$ are going toward the container, not the flowers. Our customers love own own original creations where the value is in the flowers, not the container!
P.S. Can Thomas Kinkade go away now???

Thomas Kinkade stuff is EVERYWHERE now. Every time I turn around there's something new in the Thomas Kinkade world. This is what you get when you enter Thomas Kinkade on ebay. Crazy! I guess the Thomas Kinkade people never heard of "Less is More". I suppose it's all about money and not art, yep that's it! So sad!
