I'm sorry, I should have given more details, I didn't realize the process.... and thanks for the warm welcome - wouldn't have expected anything else from a wolverine
.
Thank you for viewing the site, it's a work in progress. I checked my "Order" icon and it directed me to paypal as it should have, seems to be working correctly. Some of the images are mine from events, some I did and had photographed at a studio before I realized the Ohio Florist Association publishes a free gallery, and some I pulled off FTD and Proposterous Flowers.com.
In ohio, if you don't have a fixed retail commercial location, you are a transient vendor for sales tax purposes, and I think internet-based sounds more professional than home-based and... my customer base are businesses and young brides - and perception is reality.
I target market by mail, hand delivering samples to offices, tagging upscale apartments and at bridal expos. The same techniques I used in selling homes and leasing commercial real estate before deciding that, after losing my dad... another business... $60,000 on my house... and helping my mom through chemotherapy... life is short and I should be doing something I love.
I'm small and independent and new to this business, but like a lot of you I'm sure I love to entertain and I'm good at it. I have also run a small business before, been in management and sales so I think I'm qualified to operate this one. I will be working events in Ohio, WV, IN and KY and will do all occasion in the Columbus, Ohio area.
I've read through some of the blogs and they were quite helpful already - I'm looking forward to getting to know you all better -
My background is in real estate sales and apartment, condo and commercial leasing. I'm 51 years old and I thought it was time I put my heart into something I love for a change. I look foward to the time when I can afford to open my own shop - it would be a dream come true.
