Just got back from the Illinois State Florist Association Convention and I am so ready to get back to work! I have so many ideas and my mind is racing. I love the fact that convention is in March because after 5 months of rush rush rush I always feel run down and ready for my long winter nap. Just going and getting ideas makes me want to jump back in and get working again!

Here are some pics from the event.

Oh and I received my ICPF credentials while I was there so now I feel like a big shot :) Well at least a big fish in my small town hehe.

Congratulations Lori! I didn't make it to the convention... got sick and had to miss it!

Thanks all we had an amazing line up! Rick Orr, Bill Harper, Daniel Whitehurst, Eldon Haab, Ann Jordan, Frank Feysa, Kevin Ylvisaker, and J Schwanke (this one I missed, it was on the same day as my last class, I am kicking myself for not just sucking it up and paying the fee and staying for it.)

Clay, If you are talking about the large ones that had flowers all around that I loved taking pics of then I think you may be out of luck. On closer examination they look to be some type of paper mache. When it was all over I saw one of the florist loading them all up in her van so I am thinking she is the one that created them. The suppliers for this show were placed like, Baisch & Skinner, Dorans, Roy Huff, Vans, and Bonnett. Sorry that I can not be of more help. The president runs a shop in Springfield IL you may drop her a line she may know. She is very nice her name is Rae and she owns True Colors.

Thanks for sharing your pictures. I too was at Illlinois State and got a lot of good ideas.
The rocks you asked about-I am pretty sure they were paper mache over chicken wire. Thought they were very effective for the "Rock on" convention theme.
