I gotta get a camera for Christmas! If I can post a pic of these "beauties" I will. I received my Christmas gift from Teleflora, did anyone else? We are a "premier" florist according to Teleflora...I don't even know our ranking these days, because my rep is collecting our "top member" placques in her closet! She keeps promising to bring them to me. Whatever! I know we're in the top 1,000. You know what I received this year? Two scratched up voltive candle holders with voltives. One is silver and one is gold-totally scratched up...or maybe that's the look! Honestly, I could buy nicer voltive holders at the Dollar Store! Teleflora should be embarrassed to send these things out as gifts! I would rather have received nothing! I've always received oranges with pistachios or really nice containers. A sign of the times, perhaps? Interested to know if anyone else received a Christmas gift from WS??? Unfriggin' believeable!

Not our WS but our wholesaler did come by with some tootsie rolls for us during Halloween. On the scale of things, I think we came out ahead with the candy. So sad that was what they sent!

Last year I got a really nice modern vase...for being on the NE board or education...nothing this year yet...

The votives are on my desk, I haven't completely opened them up yet.

They will set next to last years TF flower vase.

Hi Di,
instead of a crappy gift vase,or pistacio nuts, why not call your rep, tell her you want some membership-dove credits, and ask for a higher rebate on your outgoing wires! Now that is a great Christmas gift!

If you complain enough and tell her ftd or bloomnet is making you a better offer and you are considering quitting, they will give you some free monthly memberships, and possibly a higher rebate!

I never had a problem getting free months from my rep, which I believe is the same as your rep :)

PS- after I dropped TF in July, they offered me 6 free months and a dollar more on rebates!

yep, we got those lovelies yesterday too! Weren't they purdy! I actually think they are suppose to look that way, cracked glass or the 70's marbled mirror look..

I actually did like the blue bowl we got last year.

we have been a top 1000 shop for years. last plaque we received is in Amy office rather than displayed on the sales floor because they SPELLED OUR NAME WRONG!!
How ya like them apples?

We got a very contemporary mirrored glass mosaic looking tall slender vase. One of the girls said it was beautiful.... not my taste at all, so it went on the shelf with the rest of our misc glassware. I'd rather have the pistachios and oranges. It's a nice gesture, but I think there's something odd about giving a florist something floral related. I guess that's the cheapskate in me that will sell anything not nailed down. I can't tell you how many times in the 80's my grandfather made an arr in someone's personal coffee mug.

Personally, I think you can never go wrong with food or wine.

We have regifted most of our past gifts as thank you's to a lucky corporate customer. Usually, they are not my personal taste, and I cannot resist the urge to allow Teleflora to increase my profit margin! :eek:face

Jeez-u-wally those votives are ugly. I thought about giving them away but I didn't want anybody to be offended. Tell me they haven't been sitting in some warehouse for a bunch of years. During inventory this year someone found them and said "Hey, I wonder what we do with these?"

Hey Dianne, what's a voltive?
I can't resist giving you crap.

Yeah, Dianne never mispells! She's always giving me & my mom shiit for that! Cemetery not Cemetary! My mom lost that bet!

Tis' the season to be BRUTAL! Ho! Ho! Ho! My friends sure know how to keep me merry! Got me!

I put them out on the counter with a sign "Free to good home!" No takers yet! These ain't regifting material, baby!

Now now Dianne

Its the thought that counts.

Eric,

Right on! It was thoughtless of Teleflora to send them! Message received loud and clear! Teleflora wants to burn their "Premier Florists!"

Ted,

Priceless! Touche, baby!

Wow, sorry guys I received a gorgeous 24" tall vase that I will add to my collection of of gorgeous vases that they send every year. I have always wished that they would make the glass ware like this to sell to our customers. I look forward to each year to what they will send. The first year with TF 2001 I believe we did get fruit and pistachio's

Joan

I also got the votives. I thought they were beautiful.........................

No, not really, come on, I really think they DID find them in a warehouse somewhere, or sometime, like in the 70's.

We have never gotten the fruit and pistachio's I would LOVE to get that!!!

Wrap up those votives and give them as presents back to your Teleflora reps
