Hello all!
My name is Shannon. I grew up in this business since I was 12 years old. I have worked in several cities in the US. Currently, I'm the manager/lead designer of a shop that has been in business since 1885! I have been to more design shows than I can count and last year I attended a class at TF headquarters in OKC. Also last year I won the CRFA annual bridal bouquet contest! What a thrill that was! I used to be the youngblood in the shops, now, 25 years later, I'm an elder. I can remember when I was starting out a lot of the ladies I worked with were a great deal older than me and would tell me stories of how they did thing in the "old days" long before floral foam, spray bars, etc. I'll tell my newbys these stories and it's funny to watch their expressions! I love my newbys! I love the way they see things differently than I do. I love that youthful energy and fresh eyes! It makes me a better designer. I also love when they are struggling with a design and they ask for my help. It's always fun to look like a rock star once in a while! I'm a good designer but I want to be a great designer! Hitomi great! I love this business. And I would love to chat with people who really do love it as much as I do. Don't get me wrong, more than once after Valentine's day or Mother's day I said "That's it, I've had enough" But it never is, I always come back on Monday! Now I just work smarter. This past Valentine's, we had zero complaints, not one!! Not even on wire outs!! Woo Hoo!! Well, I hope I get voted in. Any questions, ask away!
