About Me: I'm currently working/training with a certified florist in a retail flower shop and have been since August. I had never done anything with any flowers before I began working here, but the florist I work with tells me that I'm getting pretty good. Customers have begun to request custom work from me.
I got into the business because my parents bought a flower shop for their retirement business. I moved closer to them to help out. At first, I worked with the gift section, but the florist needed help, so I began to help her out some and realized that I really enjoyed it. I mostly work with silks, but have recently started to create fresh arrangements. I love funeral work and wreath-making best of all.
I am looking forward to learning a lot from the forum. I have been busy reading the posts after work and have learned so much from you guys already!
