Hi guys,

My new website was just launched overnight.

www.hangingbasketflorist.com

Yep it's a Strider.

I'd love it if any of you had the time to take a look and see if there is anything you think I could do better or if there are any typo's or bugs I may have missed.

Unfortunately the hosting company of my previous website won't respond to my requests to give me control of my old domain (www.hangingbasketflorist.com.AU) which is ranking well in Google, so I am starting from scratch to get this one out there (plus all the stationary & YP advertising I have - oh boy), all because of that daft .au. But the new site is a million times better than the old one - as one non-florist friend put it - "It's much more 2009". Plus, I have total control over content - which is very easy with the Strider template site.

Just a couple of notes - yes I have made it easy for customers to order flowers for out of town, however I will not be marketing my site outside my area and have no intention of becoming an OG. Also, you might be shocked at some of the prices but keep in mind that just for starters minimum wage here is $20/hour (and my roses, just for example, are about 20% cheaper than my competitors).

Thanks for checking it out,

Todd.

Todd i love it, love the design and everything. Seems really easy to use which i think is mega important.

The one area i think you should concentrate on more is adding some more of them local specials that you have. The medallion box and the red handtied bouquet stand out so much for me, i would have few more variations on them to make customers aware of the stuff that you can do.

Excellent all round and good luck!!! I have a strider site and i am getting more and more orders by the day online. :)

Very nice. We, too are working on our strider site and hope to have it up in a few days. I did notice a typo that you might want to change. On your local specials page, your medium boxed arrangement...medium is spelled incorrectly. (Sorry, I just notice those kinds of things:) I think hospital and funeral home pages are a great idea, too!

Thanks guys :yourock:,

Mark - already have a funeral page, the hospitable page is there, just not visible ;)

Thanks for pointing out the typo Trinity - it's just the sort of thing I thought I would miss.

You are right about our local specials Palms - I am taking more photo's each week along with more wedding pics (we do very little event work here) and would eventually like to have just our own, no Interflora images. But I am trying to have quality images so this takes time & effort.

The site went live Wed. night, Thurs overnight we are in the the top 10 Google results for Rockingham Florist and we get our first order - from Denmark! (that's Denmark, Europe - not Denmark, Western Australia) :ausflag:
