So my sweet Neice Mya is 6 years old, and just too precious for words. Below is a pic of her at Halloween when I put sparkle eyelashes on her for her bumble bee costume, that's why there is yellow all over her face.

Anyway, She and her mom (my Hubby's sister) goes shopping the other day. For some reason a group of teenaged boys are telling her that there is no Santa.
Mya is not one to just believe what some stupid boys tell her. BTW, my sister in law is watching this all go down.

So Mya tells them all, with her little hand on her hip "Well, if there's no Santa, Then let me ask you one question!" With her hand on her hip and her other index finger in the air she says in a matter-of -fact way:
"Who eats the cookies?!"

Then she stuck her nose in the air and walked away.
Too dang funny.

That sounds like something a friend of mine's great-grandchild would do. Her name is Ivy and she is the most precocious child. Will never forget one particular incident, still makes me chuckle, I had gone out to dinner after church with Ivy and her grandma ( Ivy is 6 btw) and we had gone to a mexican restaurant. We had barely got sat down good when Miss Ivy pops out with - " Well, Where is the Teriaki band " Her grandma and I just rolled.

I'd love to see a teriaki band. That was funny Ricky. Kids are funny, without trying, I love it.

My soon-to-be 8 year old left a note for Santa this year to see if he would write back and sure enough he did!! According to my son he has definitive proof! I love the fact that he is almost 8 and still believes. It's getting tougher though because he's much more aware of subtle things, like our wrapping paper on From: Santa gifts. Had to think quickly with that one.

We always told out twins (now 27 years old) that Santa stopped coming and leaving gifts for children who did not believe in him. They still say that they believe in him, and so do I! LOL

One of my nieces, sadly IMHO, decided that she and her husband would never allow their children have Santa visit because they would never lie to their children. It caused quite a stir in the family (which I believe was their ultimate goal--the drama, you know) until my sister begged them to allow their children to have the fun of the holiday. BTW, they lie to their children all of the time..."If you don't stop that, I'm going to beat your butt..." Sort of disgusting....

Excuse me whilst I step down from this soapbox.
