who's comfortably lived with us for the last 16 PLUS years, walks INTO our shop, while Sandie and I are out on wedding assignment, pushes RIGHT PAST a double family funeral booking for a grandfather, and baby daughter, that both died on Fri., gets openly cranky when our contract help ignores her to serve the customers, stands at the front counter tapping her fingernails as loud as possible on the front counter to annoy everybody,and when Kathy asks her to leave, she becomes angry at the lack of attention, DEMANDS that Kathy inform Sandie that she'll be away until TODAY, Sunday, then storms out.
The customers were AMAZED when told that this idiot has been around this business for that long,and acted in that fashion.
I've had enough..I KNOW she's old, BUT, she's gonna hafta get used to getting older somewhere else...****ed nutcase!!
What would YOU do??.....

when you throw this woman out where do you stand with the love of your life.....i feel like ann landers....did you have a good holiday....i've been waiting for you to get back so you can help me with this chat stuff....am a real rookie....
 
Sorry to hear your mom-in-law is such a ***** to your staff and in front of the customers. I have been there, my ex-wifes mother lived in my basement apartment, actually she and I got on great , it was my ex that had the problem. She was with us for about 18 months , had a big blow up with her daughter and moved out, the only problem I had with her was her smoking. Have you had a good conversation with her to lay down ground rules on what is acceptable behaviour when she visits the store. You could tell her to call before showing up unannounced , so that if its busy , she will have to wait.

BUT... the BIZ COMES FIRST....

You can not ALLOW her to DISRUPT the day to day flow....

You know I just got thru this with my dad, and once I explained to him, that HE was the problem...everything was better...

Sure it took him some time (bitter) but now he realizes I was right...

Gotta go vote...is there an "all of the above"...
