I thought I would share pictures of my adorable son Hunter and his date Kayla... they looked adorable on their way to prom this evening. My husband just laughed at me... Are you bragging?? Yes, I am as I think they look wonderful!!!

We did many of is classmates wrist corsages and bout, mostly matching sets!!!
We had several just tell us colors and to have fun and surprise them!! (yes we upgraded bands on quite a few of them). Kayla's was built on the Fitz Black Flower one, to tired to go to the shop for the name of it.

very nice work...

how much would you charge for those babies?

I would have charged about $30 for that bout and from what I can see and with my WAG pricing about $65 for that corsage.

Just curious what every one else gets.

Also how long did it take for you to make 'em...
I mean from the time you have the order in your hand to the time it's boxed. I'm just always so curious about things like this.

really pretty designs.

Absolutely lovely... and the flowers are nice too. ;)

The corsage and bout are gorgeous. I remember when Alana went to her proms... "It pays to have a Mom who is a florist". It certainly does. Well done.

Nice!

Not to take away from the lovely flowers, but did you notice the girl's manicure? Love it! Cannot wait to show that to my niece who just opened a nail studio.

Karen thanks for that ,the couple and the flowers looked really lovely. Well done you .The flowers are much bigger than we do here and we dont get the buttonholes at all for the men so thats interesting ,I think I'll do something about that this season and see if it works .
One other thing our corsage boxes are small & rectangular due to the size thing I said above and I cant get the bigger domed ones ye use in the States .Would anyone on FC send me some direct ( all paid for of course ).I've tried ebay and some w/salers myself they wont ship outside of US .Or any ideas ? Thanks .

:)Hey Victoria ,thanks you're a gem. So it looks like May 2010 ?That will be great .I really can't wait .pm me anytime for chat and we can Plan ,Plan ,Plan,

Thank you for all your kind words!!!

Thank you for all your kind word regarding my son and Kayla.. wish I had her figure.. She was adorable in the mermaid dress.
Anyway, Loved her nails!! They were great!

The bear grass on the wristlet is wrapped with bullion wire and swavarski crystals were added to the wire on laced on.... (I do this with bridal bouquet only on lilly grass and bigger cyrstals.
The bout only has the wrapped bear grass. I love the crystals from Floral supply syndicate as they are faceted instead of glued... they work great for the center of flowers and have a great sparkle. I would have charged $29.95 for the bout and $65.95 for the wristlet. Yes it was the biggest ones that I made for the evening.... but then again who was his mom.. they had to outshine the other amazing ones we did.

We glue all of our wrist corsages. I also beleive the there should always be bling so on the less expensive ones ($22.95 starting on the Lady Fair wrist band) so we use one crysal from the sprays for the middle of the rose. We use Spray roses so the don't get big and heavy. We have access to some really awsome spray roses from Canada.. Kanaka Roses.

After we tell them the starting price, I show them the Sequin Bands, use to get them from Fitz and we sell those for an additiona $3.50, and then I was able to pick some up inexpensively (beaded ones) that I sell for an additional $4.00 more and then we have other Fitz and lion Brand that we sell for more. It is pretty easy to up grade the band.. The bling on occasion.

Safeway sell their wristlets for $19.95 and the other shop in town is $21.00. I will get on from each again next week to see what they are doing this year. They were not so great at prom last year. They didn't even balance on the wrist. Poor girls.

Bout we sell for $11.95, they are pretty simple and we usually wrap the stem with wire or do something fun with the greens.

I enjoy prom, my designer not so much, but she comes up with some amazing ideas.

Iris Eyes, We came up with some fun ones from the new John Henry books using stems and wires with a small flower or petal from Gerber daisies. You might try those for the guys they have a more masculine feel.

Do you have take out boxes from restraunts that might work for bigger corsages?? Just an idea.

PS... My red head would fit in perfectly over by you.

Wonderful photos. Great wristlet and boutonniere.

Haven't you all found that when your children go to the Proms, everyone makes a special effort to see what kind of flowers and designs they show up with?

When my daughter got married, I can't tell you how many towns people just went by the church during the day to see what the flowers looked like and how it was set up.

That's why we should always do a tremendous job for our own situations. Everyone is looking and judging our work and us. It can be outstanding advertisements for us.

I have already found a place to rent for the duration. :) Warren Farms. They have been really helpful.

I'll let you know what I come up with for corsage containers for you.
