MySpace?

Hey all,

Anyone have a Myspace page?

I set one up to appeal to local Prom/Homecoming goers, but was thinking maybe it'd be good for networking with other florists?

Anyone up for exchanging links (Friending? Adding as friends? whatever!)

Believe it or not, yes - I have one...same handle as here.

I admit, I have not done much with it...but I can tell you I get a lot of "trash" friend requests... Not sure it's the right game for me... Basically have been ignoring it the past couple months...

I have one...but it isn't for my business. At first I had it set up as a business page then my friends kind of took over and I wasn't getting any business from it. I had it set up for weddings/proms. All of the kids that are on myspace from our area already order their flowers from me. We are in a very small town so I assume that was the biggest part of the problem. I still check my messages and things.

We got on the myspace train about 6 months ago. We mainly use it to highlight local weddings. Although I admit I haven't been updating it like I should. We have been using it as a substitute for a website until we get our "real" one up and running. I think even after we get our website going, we will still use myspace as a dump site for our archived wedding photos to save room on our page for updated content. We get alot of local brides checking out what their friends did. It can be a useful tool.

When you post photos do you have to get permission from the Brides first? I have never been on Myspace but what you are doing with it sounds very interresting....

Generally, I tell my brides that when their service is over I post photos on our myspace page for them to view. I haven't run into anyone complaining about it yet. Most of them respond with "cool". Of course most of our brides are young and have their own myspace page. If they do, we add them and post a comment letting them know that their photo flick is ready for them to view. I don't think you have to get their permission if the photos belong to you, but of course if the bride said she didn't wish for us to post we would respect her decision. But come on, who doesn't want to be on the internet nowadays?!?

Hey Stacey,

You are the 2nd person this week to tell me they can't add. Must be a glich, I'll fix later, in the meantime I added you! Anyone else who wants to add me give me your page address and I'll add you until I have time to fix the screw up.
