Name my store contest!

Ok Folks, the First Flower Chat Contest. (Thanks Mikey)
All entries will have a chance to win a wonderful prize (yet to be determined, depending on the winner location).

My current store is called Alpine Flowers & Gifts.

THe other store we are itended to open March 1, 2005 is lookng for a name. You all know that Debbie has suggested Lighthouse Cards and Gifts.

I am looking for other ideas. Here is what we intend to have in this store. Cards. Main supplier will be Carlton Cards. I will also have Blue Mountain Cards, and a few more that I am working on. I also will have Calendars, Ty plush, Maybe some wedding Gifts, Baby Gifts, Sarah Angels, Candles, Local Souvenirs, other assorted Gift line, some religous communion, confirmation line, and diaries or work schedulers.

One entry per store, but as many ideas are welcome. COntest closes Jan 28, 2005 and a draw will be held in Toronto during the Dinner on January 31, 2005 in front of everyone that will be present.

If you live afar, your prize will be mailed to you.

THank you for all your help with this.
I am also open to any ideas on gifts you think I should look into.

Interesting concept, Mark. Question for you, Luc. Do you plan to keep this business totally separate from the floral shop? Who will run this store, will it be Debbie? I want more information before I start dropping names.

Seperate Business all together

And Debbie is staying in her current job. We will be sole owner, Inc. business , not associated with Alpine. We will make all decision in that store and have staff working.

Then in my opinion (for what it's worth), I would keep Debbie's and Alpine's name out of it. The problem with calling something "Debbie's" is people will want to talk to 'Debbie'. Given where you are, I'd have 'sentimental' or 'memories' the name - you have an older clientele so you don't need the name to be as hip/in as some other markets.

I suppose my choice would be Sentiments but I'm tend toward minimalist.

How about...

Warm and Fuzzy card shop....it's how we feel about our customers

("hey, where'd you get that great gift??"...."from Warm and Fuzzy of course!!"

Since Luc is located way up in the North Ice cap we came up with this idea for a name:

Northern Notes
 
"Essentials Inc."

"Lifes Essentials"

"Details That Matter Inc."

"Nothing Says It Better "

"The Written Word"

"Simple Thought Card and Gifts"

"Cards and Gifts that matter"

Not always the most appealing and intriguing but it is always better to use a name that is self explanatory in the retail business than one that the customer is unsure of what you sell, Hence in your case, including the card and gifts part in the title.
