Where do you find names for bouquets. I can design anything, but my brain doesn't want to work when I am trying to come up with names for bouquets. Especially for holiday bouquets. Ie, Secretaries's Day; Grace Under Pressure, You're a Lifesaver. I find the names sell the bouquets faster than without. But I get so stumped. HELP!!

Brainstorm with your staff. I keep a list and add to it from year to year. Sometimes we use the same name, but change the description. For example: For Valentine's Day we have used various names like...Juliets Joy, Puppy Love, Romance and Candlelite, Afternoon Delight. You get the idea. I think at one time the "Puppy Love" came with a stuffed animal, but one year it didn't. You're absolutely right - Names sell the bokas!

This year we had a large Margarita Vase of flowers and a small one and named the little one "Love Potion #8 1/2". Have fun with the names and get everyone involved. Besides, it makes them all feel important.

Yes, when I have to come up with a group of product names, I take out my WS Selection Guide pricing sheets (that has the names and SRP on it)....and come up with names. Mainly it is a case that the WS might give me some thought on a new name they did not use or a combination of parts of WS names to come up with a new one.

The WSs trademark some of those names, so be very careful to not lift them verbatim. For example, 1-800-Flowers owns the trademark for 'Holiday Flower Tree'.

We use elements from this list to create our names:
- Color
- Flower type
- Style/Aesthetic
- Occasion/Holiday
- Size

Don't forget that good keywords in the bouquet names and descriptions help with SE spiders. :)

oooh I've had the same problem!! YOU are not ALONE!! sometimes i worry if a name sounds too cheesy..but,(i have to remind myself) sometimes cheesy is also CATCHY.
I also look at the big sites to jog my creativity especially in the sympathy department, and one thing I'm learning to do is try to tap into the emotion the sender wants to express..along with the arrangement style.

Now... how about writing descriptions about them!! that's another can of worms....oops, i mean Thread
