I've been in business since 3/07

No actual formal education. But I have been in the industry for almost 15 years. I started off working for a grower in Carpinteria.

Brandon Kirkland from Enchanted Florist in Oregon sent me an email link.

I'm hoping Flowerchat will be a place to network.

I operate my business from my home office. This keeps expenses down and enables me to offer competitive pricing on quality products to my customers. I ship direct from growers to my customers...I am very committed to building lasting relationships with my Retail Florists and Event Specialists.

Hi Amy:)....Not a stupid question...:)No way...I do not sell to the consumer.."Or Regular people"....I don't think I could handle that...I have patience...But....I don't think I have quite that much...lol....I only have clients in the floral industry....Clients are:...Retail Florists, Event Companies and a handful of Wholesalers...Just a handful...5 to be exact...The Cities I have a wholesaler in, I do not sell to retailers...This is totally unethical in my opinion....My wholesale clientel are also very aware that I sell to 3 sections of the industry....I started off at a grower way back when...Those are 5 that cruised on with me and I still take care of today....Regarding my retail and event clients....If I have an established customer in a particular city....I do not sell to anyone near them " Their competition" Unless the current client referred them to me...I really have a thing with my customers....They truly become my friends..their business become mine as well:)...... I have to say the most enjoyable part of this industry for me...Is all the friends I've made:) I've helped newier people get started and enhanced others that have been around longer than I have....Oh my gosh....I just back tracked and re-read my resonse to you...I'm thinking my response sounds like some dingy ad or something.....Probably should scratch some of this out and start over...but...this is me...so ...I'm hitting send anyways.....Hope I was able to answer your simple question...With...such a huge drawn out answer...lol...Hope to talk to you again Amy:).....

Libby!! :) I was surprised to see 'nature's finest' as I was scrolling down the forum.

This is the successful floral broker I was telling you guys about who used to work for Florabundance and then went solo.

She has fun and unusual stuff at great prices! She is the nicest person I have ever dealt with when buying flowers over the phone/email and is a real sweetheart. Get her to send you a price sheet.

One of the things I like about Libby is, when we need something off the wall, she knows everyone in the business and can find it.

Thank you!! Having the slowest morning ever getting the list finished...I'm beginning to think it may not be done until 11am...There are alot of different products available this week:)...Shipping is via Fed Ex, Airlines, and any of the different trucking companies. Whichever way is the most efficient and economical:)
