Please pray with me, I just saw this story on the internet while coming here. My son is on the USS DE WERT, there are only about 70 men on his ship. A helicopter crashed in sight of the ship today at 5AM, they have not rescued /found anyone. Brian just got to the Pacific Sunday, they are based in Mayport Florida and are to be in the Pacific for 4 months on anti-drug missions. I pray that Brian would not be in a helicopter but he fixes computers and steering stuff that I don't know anything about. Of course I have e-mailed him and hope he will return my message soon but I can't help being a mom. I'm sure he knows these men at the least, since it is such a small ship. Please pray with me for the safe recovery of all.

May the Lord watch him, and keep him out of harms way....

I called Mayport Naval base this afternoon and they called back this evening to say that Brian is ok- no word on the 3 men aboard the helicopter. I hope to hear from him by e-mail soon (it's a mother thing!) I am praying that somehow the three men aboard will be found quickly. It is difficult to think about what their families must be feeling now.. Thank you for praying with me, I was alone in the store when I read of the accident and it was a comfort to have you all to share with.

God's Blessings

May the lord keep him safe on his journey and comes home sage.

We hope and pray for the other navy men whose families don't know the fate of their loved one. May god give them comfort and peace.

We'll continue to remember Brian, his comrades, and all of our military. How difficult for these young men and women and their families to be separated during this season, especially when those young folks are in harm's way!

Glad to hear that Brian is okay, you have my heartfelt sympathies as do all the families with loved ones overseas. Having members of family in the service can be a really scary thing when you hear all of the incidents going on.

I got that wonderful e-mail this morning "Mom, I'm fine" he couldn't say mcuh else because of the investigation. Thank you all for your support- I was crazy with worry. Brian goes to work at 4:30 in the morning and he fixes stuff like computers and radar and I could just imagine him thinking it was a great idea to go up and check out some of his handy work- as his mom I jsut know what kind of stuff he can get into! He shares an apartment with 3 other men from his ship and I worry about them too. Still no other details about the 3 men or who they are on the news. I continue to pray for a miracle that they are found safe.
