Did anyone else notice some of the ODD advertisers for this special? A allergy medicine with a show of gerbera daisies? Great sponsor for a flower company sponsored show???? And did anyone else notice the AFM (TF-M100) bouquets delivered to the Moms in the intro? NOTHING like the bouquet was supposed to be. And why was the idea of this promo(or as we were led to believe) not mentioned during the brodcast??? If TF had a hand in it there should have been much more use of the name "Teleflora"

FYI..... TF-M100 kicked FTD's butt this year for the first time ever for us. This was truely a good promo. The TF ads were great. Promoting retail florists over the OG's was excellent, and earned them some real kudo's!!!

Lets hope the new owners of FTD learned something tonight. Sorry, I am a skeptic! TF as a brand is sucking hind tit, but as a forward thinking company they killed tonight. Work it and promote it. Who knows, they may even become #1 if they keep Florists first!

TF was #1 in WS clearings in the late 90's and early 2000's. (Something like 60%+ of all orders moved through TF IIRC.) They got a huge bump just by being 'not anything to do with Bob Norton." ;) I seem to remember Norton winning TF Salesman of the Year at one point. :>

Though they haven't ever gained traction as a strong consumer brand, it looks like the Resnicks intend to make that happen.

I hope there's a re-run I can catch - I wanted to see how much they promoted Teleflora.

Thanks for the review Keith

I saw the first few minutes of it and was disappointed...the set looked cheesy! Considering that Teleflora was sponsering the show, I expected big, elaborate floral designs...something "WOW" like at a celebrity wedding or when FTD does their floats for the New Year's parade. Instead, it was a garden type set with the "America's Favorite Mom" logo projected onto a garden shed. Not very upscale... The show began almost an hour late on the East Coast (some golf game went into OT?). But, I give TF a lot of credit for trying something new.

This morning, I checked the favoritemom.com site, and it was -2 days to order for mother's day!

I would think with the promo, they would have the updated status of the contest visible online, but I couldn't find it.

Sure liked this little tidbit from the site :>
Teleflora is immediately changing the name of our "Non-Mom" category to "Adopting Moms". After closer examination, we can see how this may have been offensive to moms who have adopted children -- moms who are indeed real moms to their children in every sense of the word. In fact, many of us at Teleflora are “adopting” parents ourselves, including our president and owner. The essence of this category still focuses on a grandparent, neighbor, step mom, or mom to adopted or foster children, each one raising and loving a child.

This show of insensitivity on our part was in no way intended and we deeply apologize for any concern or distress we may have caused. It was always our intent to salute and celebrate all moms.

Good Job

I thought Teleflora did a good job. i know it cost them some big money to get donny and marie and to buy the air time. i also liked the "boxed talking flower" commericals. they were right on time. i am no big teleflora fan but i give them credit, they did promote local florist delivery.
maybe teleflora can expand on this topic and along with real florist and put some money into advertising for real florist again.....
maybe they will produce a spot that real florist can use also? hint, hint....
it would be nice if all florist could see the show and the teleflora commerical.....
