I don't think it is coffee. The coffee that we get is more round and dark green. However, I am not sure what it is. Sorry I'm no help.

Looks like Italian Ruscus to me - the color is a little light - ruscus is a dark hardy green, not that limey color, but that could just be the photo. The leaf formation, and shape all say ruscus to me.
hope that helps!

I believe it is a form of ruscus-Israeli? maybe
and yes it is a lighter green and is a little stiffer than Italian ruscus.

It's a ruscus ....

I'm not familiar with Israeli ruscus, but it looks like a lighter green version of italian ruscus which they often have in photos. I absolutely love using it.

I agree with Parie. We use a lot of Nandina, and this surely looks like it. Luc, if you lived close enough, you could get as much Nandina as you wanted from my yard! Those bushes have brought in some $$$$$ for me!

Not ruscus has I already look at it closely.
Never heard of nandina will see if I can ge it from any of my supplier.
Connie, you don't quite live close by for me to drop in and pick some up. THen I would have to smuggle it across the border which I have no problem smuggling, but the gas alone is alot.
Thanks for all your help....
Speaking of greens, I wonder how this "war" in Isarel etc will effect their green export?
Luc

Agreed, it's not ruscus, but it also doesn't quite match the nandina I've seen. Nandina usually has its leaves in clusters of 3 along the stem, right? The leaves in this pic are bunched closer together. It could be a different variety I haven't seen.

You could probably get away with using ruscus if need be.

I have it on good authority that it's a wax leaf lugustrum.

Not usually available in cut form from wholesalers but generally available by pot at garden centers.

Cathy, I'd never argue with you, but all of the lugustrum that I've seen has wider leaves than shown in Luc's picture.

Jana Register From FernTrust emailed me and this is her thought, "The leaflets are pretty yellowed in the photo so hard to say exactly, but are the size, shape and arrangement of ruscus or nagi.

Connie - not me. I thought it looked like nandina, too. The big guy said ligustrum. There are many, many different varieties.

Here's a picture of podocarpus nagi:

Plus a link to the Google Images page.

At any rate, that single rose boutonniere is colossal and someone needs lessons about pinning them on. :tongue

2 pages of discussion over apiece of green. I LOVE IT!!!!!!
Working on it with supplier and FERN TRUST.
If I have to go to the top and ask our Prime MInister, I will.
