I have a wedding in 3 weeks in which the Best Man is a woman.

She does not want to wear a corsage - too manly, and she does not want to carry a bouquet because she is not a bridesmaid.

I need to create something conservative but kind of funky and not to girly.

Any suggestions would be great!

A calla bout w/grass is what we outfit out butch lesbians and they love it. (no pastels)

What about something for her hair or one of the funky necklaces or rings in the new corsage books?

Perhaps a single long stem flower (which is not a bouquet)

What about a sash that says, "Best Woman" (just kidding!!!)

We have done a number of these. She is called the "best woman" in our neck of the woods.....

We generally do : a wrist corsage, tastefully styled to match the bouts.
......or a smaller clutch bouquet for her to carry.....or a bout. for her to pin on our left side, just like the gentlemen. One girl chose to wear a strapless dress ---- we pinned hers at her waist on her belt.

No, she is not a bridesmaid. She does not get a big BM bouquet.

Our last Best woman was an ex-girlfriend of the Groom....This proved to be an interesting arrangement! (she was not quite over the guy.....and he was a dummy for asking her!).

Good luck.

Not sure if the dress will allow it... but perhaps a corsage-type element that pins up on the shoulder, almost like an accesory of the dress. Does that make sense? It would be bigger than a corsage...

I love snaps idea of a shoulder corsage, they look fab when done right but she would have to have an outgoing personality to wear it.

I think a wrist corsage would be the best bet on a nice pearl band.

Is she escorting the MOH down the aisle? (this in an important question!)

Is she more of a mascline woman? or is she feminine?

And lastly, what are the colors and flower choices of the wedding?

No, she is not escorting the MOH down the aisle.
She is very artsy and feminine.
The palette is blue/purple with blue hydrangea, blue delphinium and dark purple stock as the primary flowers.

Love everyone's suggestions. Keep them coming.

When our weddings have a Best Woman, we have always done a bout for her which is very similar to the groomsmen's bouts. If her gown is strapless, the bout may be pinned to the waist, or even in her hair.

Take pictures so we can see what you decided upon.

A neck spray - My sis wore one of these to my wedding and it looked great - she then used it as an ankle spray for the reception after she changed frocks. Of course, it would depend on her dress. (plus sis had a florist on hand to help put it on).

Or perhaps, depending on the style of the rest of the wedding a hair circlet with say dendrobiums and ivy.

Love the idea of a female "Best Man". My bestie is a chick, and if we hadn't drifted apart for a few years around the time I got married (living on opposite sides of a big country) she would've been my Best Woman. Actually it was Facebook that brought us back to each other and I only signed up to FB because some here on FC were suggesting it - so thanks guys!
