to me something very(?) modern and tomorrow when it comes to the floral design is something geometrical in shape, with minimum or zero greens, simple in material combination (not more than 5 plant materials) and controversial.......i hope it helps a little bit :0)

THREE WORDS - Hitomi Gilliam AIFD.

Any of her published books have tons of cool, edgy, modern designs.

good call Sprout - I had forgotten about the artwork of Daniel Ost and Life3

Also, thought of another source - Your Accent Decor supply catalog - featuring designs created by a true dutch master - Els Tuennisen

.....couldn't bite my tongue again...........
i bow to Danial Ost........but........i'm very much in love with land art of Andy Goldsworthy...and i couldn't not to notice that Daniel Ost "borrowed" quite a few things from Andy Goldsworthy (and he actually did it in a quite direct way without giving any credentials to the second one)

Goldsworthy ??? - THat's an artist unfamiliar to me....Have any weblinks, Sites, URL's about him?

Also Rewolf - Go to the FlowerChat Social group - Kansas City Here We Come - look at the pictures of arrangements there.....You will find some cool inspiration right there on FC.

Rick, your local library may have some of his books, usually in the sculpture section but they may be under land-art, incredible work, he is an inspiration!

Leatham pops in my mind when you mention hotel lobbies, awesome!
