Need some ideas!

Hello Everyone,
Some of you know that I am in direct sales....most of you don't. This is what I have been doing for almost 5 years now. It's provided me a wonderful outlet aside from being a stay at home mom...I've met some great people and got a whole new outlook on those in the ds business. I've built up a business and a team.

The reason I am telling you all of this is that I wanted to share this other side of me with you. I feel like I finally found my calling with Floral Design...I have no inclination to give up direct sales. I still want to succeed with that as well.

Now I am needing a bit of help. I am trying to earn my way into this leadership retreat instead of going for the buy in option. For me attending a leadership retreat means more if you've earned your way into it...make sense?? I hope so! I've fallen behind on my sales requirements and I'm hoping that maybe you guys would have some ideas for me or help me to brainstorm some new paths. I've got a little over a week to meet this requirement...my fellow reps have told me I'm crazy to think I can make it but being the wife of a Marine I just don't give up that easy!

So my fellow FC'ers help kick start this brain of mine!~A
 
Ok well the deadline is fast approaching...I've got 4 days left. I'm getting discouraged and the reality is kicking in that I'm most likely NOT going to make it. I also found out the buy in option may not even be offered....I just can't believe it.

Tomorrow I am hitting the pavement and passing out my catalogs to my neighbors and some....at this point at least building interest is a good thing.

Aileen, what product are you selling, who is your customer?
 
I sell bath & body products...a direct sales company started by a stay at home mom-shea & olive butters, essential oils, vitamins, no mineral oil, aloe, no DEA, dead sea salts and more.

Anyone with skin is my customer!! :)

That's a pretty big customer to target ... might want to narrow that down a tad. ;) Your product is "universal", but you want to target specific portions of that, to try and get your sales up.

Perhaps you could target those SAH moms .... Mommy & me groups, offer to do a talk on why the product is a good product etc etc etc. High School prom girls ... prom shows?

Thanks Tracy I truly appreciate your input! Off to walk the neighborhood and pass my catalogs out. If anything at least I gave them a bit of eye candy today!! lol

I like your prom idea and I think trying to focus on a mommy & daughter spa show would be a good idea too!! THANKS!
