We usually get the plants, either from a wholesaler or even a grocery store or big box store that has nice, full plants, we give them a haircut and then you can sell the plants later possibly.

Dianne...it's usually cheaper to get the plants, and give 'em a haircut yourself...it's kinda weird, cut ivy is usually twice the price of plants.

I've used ivy from the plants before. One of the biggest problems is finding the plants! Plants seem more difficult to find all the time. Any suggestions for where to buy great ivy plants or other sources to purchase the ivy?

Haines Greenhouses here in Sewell NJ, usually has nice 10"hangers - call Mark or Madonna 856.228.8898. If you aren't getting dish gardens from them already, you should really check them out. Super nice people, great product.

Also, I've bought garland and loose ivy from Arbors of Ivy in DeLand FL. Very nice, shipped fine for a June wedding last year. 386.734.2849.

Also, Schubert Nursery. Bought wonderful ivy topiaries from them for the same wedding.

good luck!

Thanks, Ian & Tracy. I do use Haines for all our gardens. I have been dealing with Haines for umpteen years. Mark & Madonna are top notch! Thanks for the other sources-I appreciate your input...as always!
