I am one of the owners of a florist 25 miles south of St. Louis, MO. I work with my twin daughters and seasonal assistants. We bought an existing store (over 55 years) that is located on a street named "Main Street USA". The solid brick buildings are over 100 years old with pressed tin tile ceilings in upstairs areas. We have owned the business for nearly five years and believe we have enough human interest stories to write a reality show script. We fing the way people purchase and give flowers to be interesting? Especially the card messages. One of our customers brought in an expensive pair of brand new leather hiking boots and asked us to put a bouquet in them. He asked us to delivery the complete gift to his girlfriend. We agreed and thought it was a great gift until we found out that he was actually giving her "the boot" for real. We were used and needless to say she did not appreciate the gift! We were left wondering if she would actually wear the boots. :gossip:
