Hello all,

I am Helen Gray, HND Hort.

I own Arnot Tower Gardens on the east coast of Scotland: ten acres of contemporary gardens around a ruined 15th century castle (until December 2007 rented out as a garden wedding venue). My current work in progress is bringing the one acre Victorian kitchen garden back into cultivation, and growing cut flowers, greens, branches and berries to supply to the Scottish floristry market.

In 2008 I will be trialing a number of different species and cultivars, and testing them with local florists, with a view to producing a reduced number of lines for sale through wholesalers in 2009.

My interest in joining your community is so that I can gain an understanding of what my future customers want. The more I understand about your attitudes and requirements, the better my product - and my business - will be.

Thank you for reading this.

www.arnottower.co.uk - please bear in mind this site is aimed at the wedding market.

Absolutely Gorgeous!! The improvements in the grounds are outstanding and the night pictures are just breathtaking. Good luck in your venture.

Thank you Rhonda! Um yes, it was quite a lot of work, and whenever I feel a bit daunted by the task ahead I go back and look at the 'before' pictures of the phases we've already done, to boost my spirits. Which reminds me, must take lots of before photos of the kitchen garden.... Thank you again for your kind words.

Thank you Mocha Rose for your lovely words! As we speak a polytunnel is lying in bits against our back wall, ready to go up beside the kitchen garden next week. All very exciting.
