Hi Everyone,

I just found out about this site a few weeks ago. I can't tell you how much I enjoy it.
I've been in the business for the past 15 years. I don't own a shop, but I've been designing and managing, and wouldn't have it anyother way. I used to be a teacher many moons ago, and this is a much more pleasant job!
I hope you don't mind a non shop owner hanging around the forum :)
I also am the secretay for the Western PA Teleflora board. I've been on the board for 5 years and truly love it. I've learned so much from the educational events that we have for the region.
Enough rambling!..:) Just wanted to introduce myself and say hi. I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you.

Welcome to our little corner of the internet....and not to worry, there are many here that are not shop owners...

The main thing is, that you are here and thats a step in growth for our industry. I'm sure you will find much to enjoy, learn, and share, as well as a warm group of RealFlorists here in FlowerChat.

Be prepared for a slew of welcomes.. this board is very open & friendly and informative, and not the least bit bias (lol) about any florist issues.. But we have learned a lot and I think it has made a difference in our industry

You know what???.....I was just thinkin'...how about someone here at FlowerChat, figure out a way to total up ALL the years of experience here at FlowerChat Central....should be able to do this as a "poll" TIMES the number of users in each category of years experience.
Imagine....Ryan using a "header" on FlowerChat saying " You're welcome at FlowerChat...The HOME of a MILLION REAL FLORIST YEARS"...or something to that effect!!

Welcome from another former teacher (except that it stays in your blood). Folks ask, "How could you make such a change in careers?" I always answer, "None of these flowers or plants talk back to me, call me bad names, or threaten me."
You can learn a lot here.
 
What is it about flowers and teachers... I studied to be a teacher... also many moons ago. :)

Now since your name is biscotti, and I have some for my gourmet baskets, How good are they? I have not tried them but they do look "hard" to eat. Are they yummy? Do htey eat it with tea or coffee and dunk them in?

Welcome, Welcome ! Hope you enjoy your time at Flowerchat as much as I do! I too was a teacher (elem. science) many moons ago. Actually this is about my 4th career! There is so much wisdom on this board and so many wonderful people helping one another any time spent here is well spent!
