Hello all,
My business: Trinity Flowers, LLC
Location: Baton Rouge, LA home of the National Championship LSU Fighting Tigers!!
Type of biz: we are contract florists and specialize in weddings, parties and special events You can see our work at www.TrinityFlowersLLC.com (I'm hoping this is not considered an ad. If so, please forgive & delete)
About me: I am licensed by the state of Louisiana and have earned my Louisiana Master Florist certification. I also hold licenses in horticulture, landscape contractor and pesticide applicator. I did residential landscaping for 15 years until labor got to be too much of a hassle and worry.
I have trained (florist area) at the Washington National Cathedral's school "Flower Arranging for Holy Spaces;" at the TX A&M Benz School, and at the Baton Rouge Community College. I have taught a class in how to pass the Louisiana state florist license exam and am proud to say all my students passed the written & design exams. My florist business partner and I present workshops to community groups such as Hilltop Arboretum, the Episcopal Church Women, Legislative Wives Auxiliary and many others.
I'd like to know from those who've earned the AIFD designation what I can do to prepare for this exam.
I look forward to learning from all of you!
Happy Mardi Gras (which is today, 2/5/08),
Emily
