Hi, I thought this would be more of a form to fill out, so I really don't know what to write. I am a self taught designer, been designing for 20years. I started in CT, moved to AZ, then to FL and came full circle back to CT where I now design in my very own shop that my Mother and I purchased last year. I began my membership on FC a few years ago but with moving and being in business for myself for the first time I have been pretty busy for the past year and half. That I guess is it for now. Thanks, --Stephanie

Hi Stephanie, new member intros now include a few questions...
Do you have a website?
Have you had any formal education?
What would you like to learn from flowerchat?
What can you offer to flowerchat?
(not sure what the other questions are but these are a start)
Do you operate from a commercial building or from your home?

I guess really the only thing left out of the intro was what you would like to take away from flower chat and what you feel you can give...

Other than that seems to me like all other questions have been answered.

Welcome...

This member has a join date of Oct. 2006 so I'm guessing another one of the ones in limbo. I've msgd Cathy, she'll get it fixed :)

We are a TF shop w/TF based website http://www.terrisflowershop.com/ it has not been enhanced nor personalized by me yet..... now that we survived our first year in this 30+ year young established shop and the slower days of summer are here I should be able to implement some of our own designs and products/gifts etc.. I do not have anything in mind exactly that I will take away from FC or to give but I would have to say I will take and give what everyone else does. In my past experience when the site first started up it seems to me what was being taken and given was experience and experiences in dealing with every aspect of this industry. I may be young and a newcomer to this circle but I have been in the business for 20 years and am by no means a "newcomer" to the field. I am terribly in love with my shop, it was fated to be. We looked at several shops in the beginning and I actually was this close to closing a deal but too many red flags started popping up so, we walked. What happened next was my little twist of fate, a friend of a friend said they knew a shop whose owners were thing of retiring to stop by some time. So, we did, the next day. The previous owners treated their shop like it was their child I was interviewed almost as if this were an adoption not a business matter. As they say the rest is history and here I am and there you all are, am I a member yet, huh huh, when does the voting start? What happens from here?

Says you're a registered user! Do you have access to all the forum now??
