:musical: Hello all! My name is Brittny and I work for a full color custom printing company called MWM Dexter, Inc. We have several sister companies, and one in particular, Kolor View Press, has a huge florist market. We print everything custom, and do a lot of direct mail pieces for our florists. We also do mailings to make things even easier for our customers!
Sidenote- I'm getting married very soon and having a florist market is a great opportunity/excuse to peruse floral magazines!

Welcome - you've entered into the chaos of a system upgrade.

Make yourself at home, and don't mind the changing colours!

Hi Brittney... welcome to this great, and ever evolving community (colours too).

Please tell us more about you and what you do.

Your rep gets built up as you contribute to the board.

Currently, I am the Marketing Coordinator for MWM Dexter, Inc, which is the basically our parent company. We also have Kolor View Press, which is the division with a large florist base. We also have a division called Tailormade Printing, who sells to promotional product distributors. My background is in Marketing and Public Relations, and it's what I know best! I'm interested in learning all I can about each and every of our targeted bases b/c the only way I can give our florists relevant and useful information, is through florists themselves!

Are you in Aurora Ontario?

V

Nope sorry! Aurora, Missouri. Technically, the plant where the actual printing is done is in Aurora, and the sales and marketing office, which I work in, are in Springfield Missouri. Both are in Southwest Mo.

My daughter lives in Aurora, Missouri. It is such a small town, you probably know her. (Michelle Thornhill is her name.) She has been the music teacher in the school system for several years.

I am in Aurora many times every year....maybe our paths will cross. I would be glad to help you with any information about our industry that you would like.

Hi my name is Barbara I own a flower shop in Azle, Tx. I have been open for almost 3 years but, have been in the floral business for many years.

Hi Barbara... welcome to the community. Please tell us more about yourself and your shop and area of the world. :)

Azle is a very small town just northwest of Fort Worth, Tx. I have lived here around 8 years now. I was a manager at a flower shop in Arlington with the drive and all the long hours I decided to open my own shop.

a somewhat oxymoron!!
You opened your own shop for FEWER HOURS and less driving??
You're an "odd duck" indeed.....
You'll fit right in!!

I live in Colleyville and work in Hurst which is pretty close to you. I am curious if we have met. What shop did you work in in Arlington? What is your real name?

Let me know if I can help you in any way.

Hi Brittny,
Please tell us what you hope to offer the community here, in other words, what you can add to the membership? And what you hope to take away as well?
thanks,
tracy

I hope to offer a healthy relationship between marketers and those in the floral industry. In order to fully understand how we can benefit each other, I think it's best to 'dive in' and gain as much insight as necessary.
